KTH Railway Group participates in Europe's Rail
The center KTH Järnvägsgruppen receives approximately SEK 60 million from the EU and the Swedish Transport Administration for research within Europe's Rail ; The EU's investment aims at increasing the use of the railway in Europe and thereby reducing the transport sector's emissions. The focus of the research is a number of different areas such as driverless trains, conversion from diesel operation to battery or hydrogen gas, seamless freight transport, concepts for more attractive and competitive train traffic in low-traffic areas.
- We hope that our research leads to more attractive, more cost-effective and even more environmentally friendly rail transport.
